Conclusions

Globally, there is plenty of suitable cultivable land remaining, but most of this is currently occupied by valuable tropical rainforests. Asia has little remaining cultivable land. Forests in Africa and South America are most affected by the current pace of deforestation. A national analysis indicates that Indonesia is losing forests most rapidly.
