1. Let the nematodes in the centrifuge tube settle to the bottom for at least 24 hours. Do this close to the water aspirator (vacuum pump) to avoid sample disturbance.

2. Carefully aspirate the "supernatant" water until 2mL (the amount in the conical tip of the tube) is left.

3. Add (approximately) 4mL of 90°C dilute formalin and immediately cool down with (approximately) 4mL cold formalin from the squeeze bottle.

4. Make sure the cap is tightened so formalin can't evaporate.
