Designing new business procedures and improving existing methods also play a role in reducing environmental impact. Business management strategies apply to both manufacturing and service activities. For example, forcing aircraft to use a plug-in system at an airport rather than using their own auxiliary power systems results in a re duction of air pollution, especially in countries with clean hydroelectricity.
