Conventional pressurization systems usually attain 50% gas dissolving efficiency, whereas packed- or mixed-retention tank designs produce up to 90% efficiency.

An additional correction in gas solubility may be required when gases are dissolved in wastewater with a high-dissolved-solids content. Gas solubility reductions of as much as 20% from that listed in Table 7.18.1 have been observed.
